so these past couple of weeks have been pretty busy but here's a photo recap of what i've been up to:

just one more quick thing. my new favorite band that i've recently been listening to is "explosions in the sky". it's all instrumental and very well done. great thing to relax with. check them out on itunes or on amazon.com. 

date nights!

So recently my friend hannah and i have been hanging out and going on what i like to call our 'date nights'. i always have my camera with me but usually forget to take pictures of what we do. but this night i happened to remember! well about a week ago we decided to do pizza and a movie and just chill. we had a great idea to make fruit pizzas, so off to walmart we went. instead of making one huge pizza we decided to make them individually. let me tell ya they were pretty yummy. i had to take some pictures of them to show off our creativity and goodness. for the movie we watched fried green tomatoes. i had never seen it before and thought it was great! i'll highly recommend it too. what a great way to spend the evening with a great friend!

Decisions Decisions

So i've figured out that i'm not very good at making decisions. matter of fact i'm terrible at it. 1. i'm always afraid i'm going to make the wrong choice, 2. i don't want to let anyone down, and 3. i want to do the right thing and pick the best option oh yeah and 4. make sure i'm obeying God. haha not a big one at all right. 

so what is it that i had to decide? well lets see i could go to Miracle Camp again or stay home in this good ol' little town. i felt like maybe this summer i should stay home and make some money and be around for all the family stuff that is going to be taking place, it seemed like the more logical decision right. but then there was Camp. Obviously one of the best places in the world, but it was still tough weighing the pros and cons. I'm gonna be honest i really wanted to stay home and work and be able to hang out with people here an make some good money. So when Jason called and asked what i had decided about camp i said no. big mistake b/c it did not feel right. i couldn't call the park district and commit to anything. oh so of course i just happened to be going  up to camp to spend my spring break with my lovely friends there. It doesn't help making the decision not to work there and then go up there right away. what was i thinking? through conversations with my wise friends, i really realized that God wanted me at camp. Sure its not the most logical or economically wise decision but i know its what He wants me to be doing. 

Good thing they had one spot at a lifeguard open. so sign me up! all this to say sometimes God doesn't make everything all that clear all the time. I feel at peace with my decision and have learned an amazing lesson. Hopefully next time i need to make a decision God can make it more clear before i look like a fool changing my mind. haha typical woman right!? so b/c i didn't post any pics from last summer here are a few.

Update- finally

Ok so finally i decide to update this thing. pretty much the only reason i haven't is because i'm lazy and just like to look at other's blogs. but a little bird told me i should update so here i am. I really have no idea where to begin but here goes. if you're really curious just ask :D

so i'm finally finishing up at icc. i have this last semester left then i graduate with an associates degree in something (i forget what). this semester has already been really crazy. just busy work and ridiculous classes that have no meanings. so its been pretty stressful but i'm trying to be better at time managing myself. i've decided to transfer to bradley in the fall. i'm getting more excited for it everytime i tell someone. i look forward to actually getting involved and being challenged. i want to get involved with campus ministry and find some cool friends ;) still not really sure what i'm going to major in and what i'm going to do but oh well.

also i've babysitting a ton. i love it though. its fun to be able to hang out with kids and get paid for it. i love being able to help moms out and give them a break. its a great way to make that extra cash i need to save for school.

I help out with the junior high youth group at church. i love it. the high energy every week and hanging out with kids is amazing. i love all of the relationships that are being built and just being there for my girls. great times each week.

i feel like i have tons more but hey i better save up so i'll have more posts. oh one good thing too is that i am finally in my 20s. i know hard to believe. i feel so much older now ;) here's a pic for your viewing pleasure:

ok people so i haven't updated in about 4 months or so but i'm back. i'll be posting pics and stories of camp as soon as i have more time. but for now i just wanted everyone to know that i'm back in town and back to blogging! yeah.
